Samsung is in a habit to pool the market with gadgets which are not only user friendly but also comfortable from the price range. After the mammoth success of the Corby series, Samsung has launched its new series in form of Galaxy which ranges right from Rs. 8, 000 to Rs. 30, 000. The launch of Samsung Galaxy POP S5570 shows Samsung’s eagerness to hold on to the captured market from Nokia Last Year as it is a phone which works on an Android operating system and is ranged within Rs. 10, 000.
The phone is basically a high end device which not only allows you to enjoy #G on your handset but also operates at a faster rate than most of the other phones within the same range. The phone works on Android system of Google 2.2.2 Froyo along with being packed by a 600 Mega Hertz processor. The screen for the phone is also big for better visual treat as it has a captive 3.14” touch screen along with a 240 X 320 pixels resolution. Other facilities such as social networking and accessing hundreds of apps over the net is also available and the best feature is in form of presence of a Wi-Fi which allows the users to access internet from any Wi-Fi enabled zone. A new technology in form of SWYPE has also been introduced for better typing speed in QWERTY.
Advantages:
The phone has a well equipped camera which has 3.1 Megapixel camera which allows quality snaps and records videos @ 15 frames per second. For smooth functioning of the phone, the phone has been well equipped with 384 MB of RAM. But the most exciting feature of the phone is the ability of the phone to browse internet. It is believed that the phone can browse up to 7.2 Mbps speed, which is exceptional for any phone belonging to any range and any company.
The phone is an eye candy, n doubt, but also at the same time shares certain drawbacks in form of absence of a keypad which makes it difficult for the users to type long texts. Another drawback is in on form of its operating system. With the availability of Android 2.3 gingerbread, the company still insisted on keeping the older version of the operating system. Look of the phone is also an important set back as the phone is very much similar to Samsung Corby and is a turn off for many people as they go for stylish looks also. Sony Ericsson Xperia X 10 Mini Pro is also a phone priced within the same range, but it has been equipped with a QWERTY keypad and elite looks. May be it is here that the phone will lose to it.
The Phone is stylish in its own way and has plenty to offer to its owner and specially in case of browsing the internet but a little precision while finalizing the blueprint of the phone would have been better. 3 out of 5 stars!
